Saturday, we did a run/walk for a kid named Graeme. He lived 2.5 years, but died from a heart defect. His family raises money annually for the Children's Heart Foundation.

Wilson showed them his scar and got his photo on the board.
Wilson thought of this after drawing several other vehicles. He said the brown in the background is desert sand, with video smear to show motion.
Amy and I were talking about this one last night and I ran across it again! Pretty good for 3.5 years old, I thought.
A weekend art assignment was to draw a machine. Wilson thought this might be what squirrels would build:
Wilson's art teacher sent these photos home.
After school yesterday, Wilson told me:
"The strangest thing happened to me today! When I packed my lunch this morning, I put about 10 Hershey's Kisses into my lunchbox. When I opened my lunch again in the cafeteria...there were only 2 still in there! The rest must have fallen out somehow or something."
I asked if two Kisses were an insufficient number for lunch and he conceded that they probably were.
He's still stumped.
I'm guilty.
When we go to our local grocery store together, Wilson always insists on getting a half-sized cart for himself in addition to my regular-sized one. We can't put any family items in his cart - only the mac & cheese, Chef Boyardee and goldfish, etc that he chooses for himself.
Tonight a woman stopped me and said he was so adorable. He had just skipped by her with his cart while singing and looking for cat litter.
Coach Weese is the teacher helping Wilson out in his classes. He left this message on our home phone. It was so nice to hear, we had to share!
